Somehow on the way between the car and the train station I was pick-pocketed and relieved of our un-validated Eurail passes. They were removed from a zipped pocket in my pants. So we made out a police report with the help of our hosts. Then we got new passes paid for out of pocket (thank you Steve)-(will be reimbursed when we return to the US.) Since they were un-validated they are useless to anyone else. So it was a lose/ lose situation for us and the thief.
After lunch we went to Venice it was belle - beautiful. We met a mother and daughter from Boston and spent the day with them. It was nice communicating in English, since most Italians do not speak English. It can be frustrating trying to communicate around here. We went to San Marcos Church and visited the shops. Also rode along the Venice canals by boat. Around Venice, the boats ARE the bus system.
On the way home we saw a street fair on Conegliano. Stopped to look around. Back at the BB still unable to sleep. Jet lag, or maybe the excitement and stress of it all.
Tomorrow, Treviso.

Journal Entry: Italy
We arrived in Venice after a stop over in Amsterdam Airport. We met a girl there from Noblesville. Small world. Her husband was deployed and she was also in the military. We determined it would be necessary to secure a rental car to reach the Bed and Br., so we took a bus from the airport to the train station in Venice, rode the train to Treviso and rented a car to drive to Coneglinao. The drive to the B&B was a trip- those Italians take their life in their own hands. I think I was destined to live in Italy - I fit in and held my own with those Italian drivers. We reached the BB at 9pm exhausted, but unable to sleep because of the jet lag.
01 July 05 Today was the first day of our official organ trip. We ate breakfast with our hosts, Liciana and Andrea (mother and son) the owners of the BB, located in Colonge, which is 20 min from Treviso.
