04 July 05 Today we arrived in Nice France at 10:45 am. We checked our email at an Internet cafe across the street from the train station. We stored our bags in a secure area and walked the streets of Nice. After seeing the opera house we took a look at the beach and decided that's where we wanted to be. So we

05 July 05 Today we are traveling by train to Toulouse. On the first leg of the trip we had a first class car all to ourselves. Rough life. On the second leg we were joined by a sweet French woman. She is a business financier. We had a great conversation (multilingual). We exchanged cards as she got off the stop at Montpeliar. Then we had the car to ourselves for the remainder of the trip to Toulouse.
06 July 05 We arrived in Toulouse late last night and spent an hour walking around trying to find the hotel. The Website said only 300 meter from the train station..they lied! It was probably three times that far...oh well...made it. This morning I got up early and went to 9 am mass at St. Sevrin Elglise. I figured that would be the best way to hear organ music...at mass. After the service I stuck around and got to hear and see them tune the organ. Extraordinary instrument.
I met Adam at the Capitole Building and we looked around at the market (open air) in front of the capitol. The other church I wanted to see was St. Etienne's so we toured it and got I to see two organs there ...one small and the other a massive organ hanging off the wall in the back. The room was not symmetrical ..off center for both of the organs.
We got some food from a grocery and took it to our room. Then went to the station to get reservations for the trip to Zaragoza. This was when we discovered it was going to be hard to get reservations to Portugal. Only one train each day from Madrid,,,and it was a long trip and a bad time...by he time we would arrive we would have to depart. So instead we only will go as far west as Madrid. So we went home hoping to re-plan our itinerary. We need to go to the station tomorrow and see how far in advance we can make reservations. Check website for updates.
07 July 05 I got up early to go to Mass to see a third church. Another big organ St. Augustin. They played the smaller organ at the service rather than the big one....still nice. I am marking all the organs we see with a star in my book so I can remember all of them.
Back at the station...they gave us reservations for as far as Amsterdam. When we get to Madrid or Paris we will see if we can get reservations up to Copenhagen, I am certain Goteburg will be too far....just have to play it by ear. Ready to board now for Zaragoza 12:46 pm

Adam and Joy at the pose for photos along the Mediterranean Sea, at Monaco
checked into a hotel and changed to go for a swim. Two star hotel with everything we needed and was secure. On the way back to the beach we stopped at McDonalds or lunch and noticed that they had WiFi. They were quite busy so we didn't stay. We stopped at a shop for some lounging mats (cheaper than a towel) and hit the beach. I believe I was the only female on the beach with a one piece suit on....and one of the few with any top on at all....different world here. Adam wouldn't let me take off the top.
Then we changed and went to Monaco via rail to the casino of Monte Carlo. Adam got carded and they would not let him in, I did the Casino alone - lost a few bucks. The food there was pricey so we went back to Nice for Pizza again. Food is cheap and good in Nice. Watched a random psychedelic detective show on TV...as bad TV is bad TV in any language.
